Shielding Effect on Flux Trapping in Pulsed-Field Magnetizing for Mg-B Bulk Magnet

MgB2 superconducting bulk materials are characterized as simple and uniform metallic compounds, capable of trapping field non-distorted conical shapes. Although pulsed-field magnetization technique (PFM) is expected to be a cheap an easy way activate them, the heat generation due magnetic flux motion causes serious degradation captured fields. The authors precisely estimated property samples, found that flux-shielding effect closely attributed sample dimensions. capturing Ti-5.0wt% reached highest value 0.76 T. applied which centre surface shifted from 1.0 T 1.2 with increasing thickness 3.67 mm 5.80 mm. This means shielding was enhanced thickness. Moreover, Ti-addition affected frequency jump happenings. occurrence jumps suppressed in 5.0wt%Ti-added sample. capacity compounds promoted by Ti addition.
